Who we are
Professor's Garden is an independent product review publication covering garden tools, irrigation equipment, and indoor growing gear. We are not a retailer. We do not sell, stock, or ship any product mentioned on this site.
How we make money
This site is reader-supported. When you click a product link on our pages and complete a purchase, we may receive a commission from the retailer or the affiliate network that referred you. This is our primary source of revenue, and it is what keeps the site running and lets us publish our analysis without charging readers.

What a commission does not buy
Editorial independence is the only thing that makes a review site useful, so we hold a few firm rules:
- No paid placements. No brand can pay to be included in a review, to be ranked higher, or to have a negative finding removed.
- No free product in exchange for a review. We buy the units we test at retail. If a manufacturer ever sends a sample, we will say so plainly in that article.
- Commission rate is irrelevant to ranking. A product with a 1% commission can rank above one with an 8% commission. Ranking is decided by design and published specification.
- Negative findings stay in. If a product leaks, clogs, overheats, or fails early, that is in the review, even when that product has the highest commission on our list.
- We publish what we could not verify. Where we relied on manufacturer documentation rather than on published specification we could check ourselves, the article says so.
How to identify an affiliate link
Every affiliate link on this site is opened with a tracked URL and marked with rel="sponsored" in the
page source, as required by search engine guidelines. You do not need to do anything differently — clicking an
affiliate link and clicking a normal link works exactly the same way for you. The price you pay is identical either way.
If you would rather not use our links
That is completely fine. Copy the product name from any of our reviews and search for it directly. You will find the same item at the same price. Our recommendations are written to be useful on their own.
